THERE IS A LONG HISTORY OF POLYCARBONATE AUTOMOTIVE HEADLIGHT/TAILIGHT LENSES DEVELOPING CRACKS OF VARYING SIZE, LOCATIONS AND DEPTH. THIS HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED ACROSS THE ENTIRE AUTOMOTIVE COMMUNITY, ON MAKES & MODELS TOO NUMEROUS TO MENTION AND IS NOT EXCLUSIVE TO DODGE PRODUCTS. THEY ARE PURPOSEFULLY DESIGNED TO EXERT NO MORE PRESSURE ON THE HEADLIGHT LENSE/CONTACT AREA, THAN THE OEM PLASTIC CAP ( CLOSE OUT PLUG) THAT THEY REPLACE. THEY NEITHER HASTEN, NOR PREVENT THE CRACKING OF POLYCARBONATE PLASTIC IN/AROUND THIS AREA WHICH CAN OCCUR REGARDLESS OF A DIPS UNIT INSTALL/USE.
